Buckles for the Best Ranch Team: In the Ranch classes of Euro Paint, in addition to the class titles, the title “RANCH HIGH POINT HORSE” will also be awarded in the categories Open, Amateur and Youth (Regular and SPB combined). Within each of these 3 divisions, a buckle will be awarded to the horse or team of horse and rider with the highest score. Sponsor of this special award is Rockin R Ranch in Limerick, Ireland (home of Rockin R Performance Horses and Rockin R Show Management) owned by Helena M. Ryan (APHA State Director) & Martin Collins.

Categories
– Open

Awarding of the Buckle
– A buckle will be awarded to the horse or team of horse and rider with the highest score in each division.
Disciplines and evaluations
Ranch Trail and Ranch Riding
– Scores from all judges for Regular and SPB will be combined
– The rules of the European Championships apply
– Best and worst result are canceled
– Scoring:
Highest total score: 10 points
Second highest score: 9 points, etc.
In case of equal scores: same number of points, next place is skipped (e.g. two horses in 1st place both receive 10 points, next horse 8 points).
Ranch Horse Conformation and Ranch Rail Pleasure
– Results for Regular and SPB will not be combined.
– Points are based on the TOP 10 scores in these classes:
With 10 or more horses in the class:
– First place: 10 points
– Second place: 9 points, etc.
With less than 10 horses:
– First place: number of horses started + 1 point
– Second place: number of horses started – 1, etc.
Special rules
Disqualified horses
– No points, regardless of the number of horses placed
– Points are based on the horses started if less than 10 horses are placed
Open class:
– Buckle will be awarded to the team of horse/handler with the highest score in Ranch Rail Pleasure, Ranch Riding, Ranch Trail and Ranch Horse Conformation
Amateur and Youth Divisions:
– Buckle will be awarded to the horse/handler team with the highest score in Ranch Rail Pleasure, Ranch Riding, Ranch Trail and Ranch Horse Conformation.
Minimum entries and class eliminations
– Classes will only take place if at least 3 entries have been received by the closing date for entries
– In the case of canceled classes, only the remaining classes count for the ranking
Ties
In the event of a tie for this award, the procedure is as follows:
– The horse that has competed and placed in the most categories wins.
– The horse with the most European Championship titles wins.
– The horse with the most reserve European Championship titles wins.
